A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Dentistry, Dr. Angel published three biochemistry
articles in scientific journals. He then went on to do his periodontal residency at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
He has been in private practice since then, specializing in periodontology and implantology.
Dr. Angel has taught at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, the University of California, San Francisco, School of
Dentistry and the Sacramento City College Department of Dental Hygiene. He also has served on the California Board of Dental
Examiners as an examiner. He currently is servings as both a conscious sedation and an oral conscious sedation evaluator.
He currently sits on the Peer Review Committee for the California Society of Periodontology. Because of his expertise in
the field, he helped write the current California sedation regulations and the education requirements for licensure in
sedation dentistry.
Dr. Angel has lectured locally and internationally on periodontology and implantology and is a Fellow of the International
College of Dentistry.
