Herlin Dyal has a degree in dentistry in her native India as well as degrees in dentistry and prosthodontics from the
University of Michigan and the University of California, San Francisco, Schools of Dentistry. Because of this, she has much
more training and knowledge than the average prosthodontist, who also completes graduate courses in their specialty. Dr. Dyal’s
expertise is evident in the specialized work she does in extremely complex dental restorations.
Dr. Dyal’s excellence also shows in the honors and awards she has received from the American College of Prosthodontists,
the International College of Dentists and University of Delhi. In 2006, she lectured at the California Dental Association spring
session on "Oral Rehabilitation of Completely and Partially Endentulous Patients". She also gives seminars at study
groups on implants as well as fixed and removable prosthesis.
Dyal recently revived the local woman’s study group, the Dental Dudettes. The members give Continuing Education
classes on issues of concern to women dentists. The group now boasts 250, 75 of whom show up for the bi-annual meetings.
